In the original illustrations of the book, Alice Does not wear a headband, except in the disney versions and maybe later illustrations of newley edited pictures by different artists for the book. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson's idea for the making of Alice's Character was that he wanted her hair to be unconstricted and free flowing much like a child at play. so, i believe it's more authentic for the character playing Alice in Burton's movie to follow exactly Dodgson's "vision" for Alice as that free-spirited and wild at play, child. :) i hope that answers your question.

The way Anne Hathaway looks is kind of hilarious because well shes all white and her eye brows are crazy big and just standing out like a red thumb...It made me laugh so some reason... Helena Bonham doesn't even look like a person she look's like one of those crazy ass porcline dolls... Lol the rabbit gave me that vibe "Sure it looks cute but it might rib your head off" Like just because I wonder if Tim is gonna go line by line like the story or just add more twisted shit. Makes me totally wanna watch it now. + I love Johnny Depp and having him be in Chocolate factory and Pirates was enough...The last movie I saw with Johnny was secret window it's kind of bizzare to watch him to from a crazy ass killer to some fruit cake making chocolate...lol I look forwad to this though :]

O_O First off, I love Tim Burton, Helena Bonham Carter, and Johnny Depp. And I've loved every movie they're ever made together. :] <3 I've seen a few different versions of Alice In Wonderland. I never really liked the animated one, but the version with Martin Short and Whoopi Goldberg has been my favourite so far. But now that this is being created, this will be my favourite version, EVER. :DD This looks ABSOLUTELY fantastic! I cannot wait for it to be released. I literally can't sit still in my seat with the anticipation. :D

What a match made in heaven!
Helena Bonham Carter never shines as bright as when her creative hubby is directing her. She always looks amazing ans is able to show her skills as a talented serious acress. All the actors so far look incredible and almost unrecognizable. Matt Lucas' personality and looks are made for this part. I can't wait for the preview in my cinema! thanks for the pictures Eric!

Those pictures and scens from alice in wonderland are just fantastic. I have readed the book many times and lissened the story when our estonian actor is reading it and probobly I may say that I am a fan of alice. The best picture I think is the mad hatter one but it is more real to me than my imaginagion of the mad hatter. All of pictures are looks so real and right to me, just exacly the way the wonderland can be and everywhere is little more than you ever can exept from wonderland. That why it is wonderland, full of surpraises. I´d like to be there too!

This is totally cool guys. I´m more then excited to see these awesome pictures of "the" new, upcoming, greatest film of Alice in Wonderland. first of all let me say i am totally looking forward to this particular version because so far, from what i gather, it more closely resembles the book than any other.....much like his version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Dark... and at times very terrifying. read the book and know what i mean. even tho its a "future" Alice and her Wonderland grew up as well.... He isn't remaking the Disney movie, he's remaking the story. There IS an Alice in Wonderland story before Disney made it into the 'well-known-child-friendly-happy-go-lucky' movie it is most commonly known as. The ORIGINAL...isn't near as happy as you probably think.

Alice and wonderland was originally (Excuse my spelling) a book called Behind the Mirror which was out way before the movie and was actually a darker film and NOTHING like the cartoon. The cartoon really screwed it up. This is like the book.

I was weary at first. Although I love Tim Burton and his weird twist on things, I did not much care for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and was afraid that Alice in Wonderland would be very much the same. Seeing these pictures and realizing that he's basing it more on Through the Looking Glass rather than Alice in Wonderland gives me some hope that this will be the next great Tim Burton movie. I can't wait.

he didn't ruin the Willy Wonka story, he actually stuck with the book that Dahl wrote. The first Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie actually took artistic license and did not include many things that were in the book.
I love Tim Burton's vision here. The characters and the worlds that he creates are always visually remarkable and stunning and you know his handywork from anyone else's. Can't wait to see it when it comes out, it's like candy!!

OMG!! This looks so great. Hopefully the movie is better than Sweeney Todd, I really was disappointed when I finally got to watch it. I mean this so so Tim Burton style. everything looks cool at the beginning and costumes and scenery are magnificent but Johnny Depp doesn't fit to his role, Helena Bonham Carter can't really act and I don't know, how old is this girl who plays Alice? Because children actors are really bad most of the time, but she doesn't seem that young any more, so I really hope that everything works out. okay just looked it up, the girl who plays Alice is about 20 now, so there will be no problem with inexperienced child actors (I mean, this boy who played Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was really bad in my opinion and only Johnny Depp's really brilliant acting saved the movie). But as I said the costumes are really great as always and Johnny Depp is gonna be great, I'm sure he's always somehow great, even if he doesn't fit.

Makes me totally wanna watch it now. + I love Johnny Depp and having him be in Chocolate factory and Pirates was enough...The last movie I saw with Johnny was secret window it's kind of bizzare to watch him to from a crazy ass killer to some fruit cake making chocolate...lol

First off, I love Tim Burton, Helena Bonham Carter, and Johnny Depp. And I've loved every movie they're ever made together. :] <3
I've seen a few different versions of Alice In Wonderland. I never really liked the animated one, but the version with Martin Short and Whoopi Goldberg has been my favourite so far. But now that this is being created, this will be my favourite version, EVER. :DD
This looks ABSOLUTELY fantastic! I cannot wait for it to be released. I literally can't sit still in my seat with the anticipation. :D

Helena Bonham Carter never shines as bright as when her creative hubby is directing her. She always looks amazing ans is able to show her skills as a talented serious acress. All the actors so far look incredible and almost unrecognizable. Matt Lucas' personality and looks are made for this part. I can't wait for the preview in my cinema! thanks for the pictures Eric!

That was a very awesome movie. I've lost all respect for Johnny Depp for this.
There IS an Alice in Wonderland story before Disney made it into the 'well-known-child-friendly-happy-go-lucky' movie it is most commonly known as.
The ORIGINAL...isn't near as happy as you probably think.

I love Tim Burton's vision here. The characters and the worlds that he creates are always visually remarkable and stunning and you know his handywork from anyone else's. Can't wait to see it when it comes out, it's like candy!!

I've been waiting a long time to see some outcome from this movie. I have to still wonder about Marilyn Manson's movie about carrol as well.... would be interesting if both were released the same day.

This looks so great. Hopefully the movie is better than Sweeney Todd, I really was disappointed when I finally got to watch it. I mean this so so Tim Burton style. everything looks cool at the beginning and costumes and scenery are magnificent but Johnny Depp doesn't fit to his role, Helena Bonham Carter can't really act and I don't know, how old is this girl who plays Alice? Because children actors are really bad most of the time, but she doesn't seem that young any more, so I really hope that everything works out. okay just looked it up, the girl who plays Alice is about 20 now, so there will be no problem with inexperienced child actors (I mean, this boy who played Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was really bad in my opinion and only Johnny Depp's really brilliant acting saved the movie).
But as I said the costumes are really great as always and Johnny Depp is gonna be great, I'm sure he's always somehow great, even if he doesn't fit.
